Thank you for visiting my page. I am excited to share with you my professional journey.
I qualified in 1986! Yes, many years ago, and enjoy the practice of Electrolysis even more now than when I first qualified. I was trained at the College of West Anglia in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. It was the year when the qualifications were changing from City and Guilds to IHBC. Therefore, the class of 1986 were required to sit both set of exams. This resulted in my achieving credits in City & Guilds Beauty Therapy and Electrolysis also I.H.B.C. this represents the International Health and Beauty Council.
My Career was launched!
Immediately I saw an opportunity for a home visiting business which evolved into my own practice. Within this space I offered a wide range of Beauty Therapy Treatments to include Electrolysis. After many successful treatments in those early days and it soon became apparent that I had a flair for Electrolysis and many other Beauty / Holistic Therapies. The letters and cards of gratitude I still have, and I am very grateful to for those lovely clients who supported me.
In succession to the practice I had an opportunity to work overseas and in London which I found Character building, beneficial to my career and Broadened my horizons. I was then ready to have a larger space in the City and expand my repertoire. Offering an even wider range of treatments to include Hydrotherm and Aromatherapy. The introduction of Hydrotherm was in 1995 and I enjoy treating with this tool today as much as the day I began using it. The Business did well and I also extended my skills to treat Transgender clients which was my introduction into this very specialized area of expertise. My path was set.
During the quiet months I found myself taking some holidays on the USA. Specifically, with Native people in North America. I was fortunate to make some lifelong friends and to learn a great deal along the way. I learned about plant medicine and the use of plants in conjunction with massage, Ayuvedic medicine and Shamanic practice. These elements all feature in the work I do today and weave in and out of the rich tapestry of therapies I perform. I proceeded to specialize highly in three main areas.
